Rotary at a Glance

Rotary brings together a global network of volunteer leaders who dedicate their time and talent to tackle the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. Rotary connects 1.2 million members from more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Their work impacts lives at both the local and international levels. Rotary Club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally under the motto “SERVICE ABOVE SELF”. Some of the local charities that benefit from the Rotarians efforts included Victim Services, Strathcona Shelter Society, Christmas Bureau, and the Strathcona Care Center.

The Rotary Club of Sherwood Park would like to express their gratitude for your Sponsorship and Participation in our 2020 Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Going strong for over 27 years, this little tournament is the best bang for your buck in the Sherwood Park Community.

In fact we take your bucks and put them back into the community to support:

Sherwood Park Against Hunger Project - very rewarding event, packaging meals for well-deserved people. The goal for 2020 was to package 60,000 meals. Last year’s recipients were the Edmonton Inner City Soup Kitchens, Northern Canada remote communities as well as International Communities in need.

Robin Hood Association - a registered non-profit organization committed to excellence in assisting individ- uals with disabilities to achieve their personal best and experience a quality lifestyle. Robin Hood Association is the primary provider of services to children and adults with disabilities in Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan and surrounding areas.

Other Local charities supported by Rotary include Victim Services, Strathcona Shelter Society, Christmas Bureau, Strathcona Care Centre, and Hope In Strathcona, to name a few. To view a complete detailed list of local and international projects Click here .
