Sherwood Park Rotary Logo

Charity Statement

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Sherwood Park, in support of the Robin Hood Association, please accept our gratitude for your consideration of sponsorship and/or participation in our golf tournament.

We believe that sponsors of this golf tournament deserve recognition well after the conclusion of the tournament. We have created unique sponsorship opportunities to help promote your business to the greater community, beyond the realm of the tournament itself. These sponsorship opportunities offer your business a tangible return on investment and surpass the traditional use of a logo in exchange for funds. This is a business networking golf tournament!

You are invited to golf in the tournament which is being held at the prestigious and private Belvedere Golf & Country Club. Immaculately groomed above the standards of many in the Edmonton area, the Belvedere Golf & Country Club allows the opportunity for golfers of all levels to enjoy the challenge and the scenery. On many holes, you will be treated to tasty food and beverages, as well as opportunities to win prizes courtesy of our Hole Sponsors.

The Rotary Club of Sherwood Park has been helping local and international causes since 1990. Rotary International is the world’s first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members and 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto “SERVICE ABOVE SELF". Local charities benefiting include Victim Services, Strathcona Shelter Society, Christmas Bureau, Strathcona Care Center, and the Robin Hood Association, to name a few. See a complete detailed list of local and international projects on page 6 of the sponsorship package.

Formed in 1963, Robin Hood Association is a non-profit, registered, charitable organization dedicated to providing high quality and innovative services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Presently, 336 adults and 350 children and their families are served in programs operated in Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, and Leduc County. Robin Hood operates two Adult Learning Centres (one in Sherwood Park and one in Fort Saskatchewan), a Children & Youth Community Centre, 54 residential homes, a multi-unit residential complex and a transportation fleet of 15 para-transit vehicles. Robin Hood Association’s waiting lists continue to grow.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to consider sponsorship involvement in the Rotary Club of Sherwood Park Annual Charity Golf Classic!
